MouseSteps Weekly #263 Slinky Dog Coaster & Woody’s Lunch Box Menu; DLP TOT Party; HKDL; Polite Pig

Written by Ariel

In Mousesteps Weekly #263, we talk about the following subjects:

We stopped by Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where the Disney Skyliner gondola system is being constructed – towers have been added quickly since our last visit. The path of the Skyliner is easy to see in the parking lot.

Next, we stop by Beverly Sunset Sweet Spells. Sweet Spells is scheduled to close on April 15th, the carrot cake cookie can be found (last we looked) at Trolley Car Cafe if you are looking for it.

We take a look at the Club 33 location (what we can see of it), we were told this one is now open – the first of four coming to Walt Disney World as lounges. This is in the former Catwalk Bar of the Brown Derby.

We were surprised to see the Slinky Dog Dash coaster on the track at the upcoming Toy Story Land location! We share a look at the coaster going around a turn.

Disney has announced a variety of food items for Woody’s Lunch Box in Toy Story Land, and we take a look at what was announced for the counter service location.

We take a look at Star War’s Galaxy’s Edge Construction and enjoy a little hamming it up from Chip & Dale!

Curious Axel takes us on a fun segment at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for the first party of the Disney Infinity Pass to celebrate the Tower of Terror’s 10th anniversary!

Thanks to our friend Jonathan (Jonathanuk1 on Instagram – follow his adventures!), we have coverage from Hong Kong Disneyland this week. He shows us a little of Chef Mickey’s before heading to the park, where we take a tour around some of the lands and to see springtime decorations, food items, merchandise and more. Hong Kong Disneyland Carnivale of Stars is in full swing!

We were invited to The Polite Pig in celebration of National Beer Day. The Polite Pig offers 4 of their own Cask & Larder craft beers, we also tried share some food items we tried.Gideon’s Bakehouse cookies are now at The Polite Pig!

Recorded 04/09/18 Featuring Commentary from Denise Preskitt and Jeff Lange.

  • Congrats Jeff and Denise about the commentary and one more thing I want to say to you guys it’s great to see you to see you look great and handsome man

  • I’m guessing the not-so-high height of the gondolas is to keep it operating as much as possible, even when it’s windy.

  • Great show as always, Jeff and Denise, thank you. Safe travels, and have a magical time in DL, sure wish I was going!!

  • I don't always get the chance to comment, but I do try and watch/listen to every video. Thank you for your continuous updates and helping us stay in touch with what's going on!

  • Would it be that the lower height is for site-line purposes; so seeing the Skyliner won't be easily seen from in the parks and on the rides. We see Imagineers doing site-line tests all the time when developing new rides, so I would imagine that Disney needed the height of the Skyliner as low as possible.

  • Eleven dollars for a "character inspired apple". Why doesn't Disney just steal your money as you walk in through the gate? Oh wait, they do, for the price of a ticket and every dime in your wallet to buy their crummy food laden with sugar. And don't forget the merch. Gotta mulct your pocket for the merch. What's next? Pay toilets to excrete their woeful food? Don't be surprised. People that worship at the rectum of the mouse deserved to be fleeced of every single dime – and brain cell – they have.
